PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
To train Environmental Engineers who
PEA1) To provide a comprehensive and continuously improved curriculum in order to produce graduates who can combine basic and engineering sciences with the theoretical and applied knowledge of Environmental Engineering,
PEA2) To train graduates who can perform laboratory experiments in some basic subjects related to Environmental Engineering (water and wastewater treatment) and interpret and report the results of the experiments,
PEA3) To train graduates who can design projects on water and wastewater treatment, air pollution, noise pollution, environmental modeling,
PEA4) To train graduates who have researcher characteristics and can keep up with technological and academic developments, disciplined and suitable for teamwork,
PEA5) To provide graduates who are ready for domestic or international studies and postgraduate education and duties after graduation in the fields related to Environmental Engineering.
PROGRAM OUTCOMES
PO1) To have sufficient background in Mathematics, Science and Environmental Engineering; to be able to use theoretical and applied knowledge in these areas in engineering solutions,
PO2) Ability to identify, define, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems; ability to select and apply appropriate analytical methods and modeling techniques for this purpose,
PO3) Ability to analyze a system, system component or process and design it under realistic constraints to meet desired requirements; ability to apply modern design methods in this direction,
PO4) Ability to select and use modern techniques and tools needed for engineering practice; ability to use information technologies effectively,
PO5) Ability to design experiments, conduct experiments, collect data, analyze and interpret results,
PO6) To be able to access information and to be able to search for resources for this purpose, to be able to use databases and other information resources, to be able to use computer software and hardware at the level required by the field,
PO7) Ability to work effectively individually and in multidisciplinary teams, self-confidence in taking responsibility, the ability to complete a job started and to produce solutions by taking responsibility in possible complex situations,
PO8) Knowledge of a foreign language to follow and use the information in the field and to communicate with colleagues,
PO9) Ability to follow developments in science and technology and continuous self-renewal, awareness of being open to innovative ideas,
PO10) Professional and ethical responsibility,
PO11) Adequate knowledge and awareness of occupational safety, worker health, social security rights, quality control and management and environmental protection,
